The scaphoid is a commonly-fractured
bone in the wrist. Because of its unqiue blood supply, it can be very slow in healing. Some of these fractures can be treated with a cast. Some, however, require surgery in order for the bone to heal. Surgery can be done using minimally invasive techniques to allow an early return to activity.
